Robert K. Danzinger, Esq. – Property Tax Attorney

As a property tax attorney, Robert (“Kip”) Danzinger has extensive experience in the area of property tax litigation, and related matters. For over 30 years, he has handled property tax matters in all 88 Ohio counties and in various jurisdictions throughout the country. In addition, Kip has represented clients in civil, business and family law disputes inclusive of litigating cases and arguing appeals in the Courts of Common Pleas, Appellate District Courts, Federal District Courts and the Supreme Court of Ohio. Of note, Kip successfully argued before the Ohio Supreme Court and established legal precedent in favor of Ohio taxpayers in Groveport Madison Local Schools Bd. of Edn. v. Franklin Cty. Bd. of Revision, 137 Ohio St.3d 266(2013) [the burden for a taxpayer to identify the actual legal titled owner of property in the complaint is lessened] and Worthington City Schools Bd. of Edn. v. Franklin Cty. Bd. of Revision, 140 Ohio St.3d 248(2014) [knowledgeable employee of owner may give “owner opinion of value” testimony”].

Recent Speaking Engagements/Authorships:

Kip has been a frequent speaker at various legal and educational seminars, inclusive of the CMBA Real Estate Law Symposium and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) and has authored numerous articles on the topic of real property taxation and matrimonial law.

Honors:

Kip has been honored to receive Martindale Hubbell’s Highest Rating (AV Preeminent), an objective indicator of a lawyer’s high ethical standards and professional ability as voted by other lawyers and judges. He has also been named as an Ohio Super Lawyer, a rating service of lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.

Kip earned his undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University (1989), and his Juris Doctorate from The Case Western Reserve School of Law (1992).

More About Kip:

Throughout his career, Kip has volunteered his time to charitable and philanthropic events. Currently he is President of the Board of JCH which provides housing and related services to adults with mental illness throughout NE Ohio. Previously, Kip was a Board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters and annually leads fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society’s Pan Ohio Bike Ride that raises money for Hope Lodges across the state. When not assisting his clients, Kip enjoys competing in triathlons, mountain biking, golfing, agonizing over the Browns and most importantly, spending time with his family.
